An Evening of Joan Didion - Celebrating Sacramento History

The Sacramento Historical Society presents it's annual event celebrating the wonderful legacy of Sacramento native Joan Didion

Please join us on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 at 6:30pm at the Sacramento City College theatre as we proudly announce and celebrate a $510,000 endowment, scholarships, sculptures, and gifts naming the Joan Didion Learning Resource Center, with our 2nd annual Joan Didion holiday program with our partners at SCC. 

Enjoy refreshments and engage with your community as we share about our new partnerships with SCC, Guns and Hoses, the Sacramento Museum, and other community partners to expand our programs at Sacramento City College. This includes: A Faculty Scholars endowment, the introduction of our new and revived living historical program, and future community engagement events to highlight the history of Sacramento areas like Land Park and Hollywood Park.
